Documents required for solar subsidy application in India

Incomplete paperwork is the #1 reason solar subsidy applications get delayed. Keep this checklist handy — or simply let Sunvera Energy's documentation team handle it all for you.

Personal Documents

  • Aadhaar card of the applicant
  • PAN card
  • Passport-size photograph
  • Mobile number linked with Aadhaar

Property & Electricity Documents

  • Latest electricity bill (connection must be in applicant's name)
  • Consumer number and DISCOM details
  • Proof of roof ownership / property documents

Bank Details

  • Bank account number and IFSC (subsidy is credited via DBT)
  • Cancelled cheque or passbook front page

Technical Documents (Prepared by Your EPC)

  • Solar system specification sheet and single-line diagram
  • DCR panel certificates and inverter datasheets
  • Installation completion report with geotagged photos
  • Electrical safety / CEI compliance where applicable

Common Mistakes That Delay Subsidy

  1. Electricity connection in a different family member's name
  2. Bank account not linked to Aadhaar for DBT
  3. Non-DCR panels used by unregistered vendors — subsidy rejected
  4. Mismatched name spellings across documents
With Sunvera Energy, our team verifies every document before submission — most of our customers receive their subsidy without a single query.
