Solar Panel Price in Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh (2026)

In 2026 a complete rooftop solar system in Madhya Pradesh or Chhattisgarh costs about ₹2,00,000 for 3 kW and ₹3,00,000 for 5 kW installed by Sunvera Energy, which works out to ₹60,000–67,000 per kW for residential on-grid systems with tier-1 panels. The PM Surya Ghar subsidy returns up to ₹78,000 to homeowners, so the real cost of a 3 kW system is close to ₹1,22,000 — an amount a ₹2,500 monthly bill pays back in about four years.

These are Sunvera Energy's typical installed prices for on-grid systems using Waaree, Adani or Tata panels. They include the panels, inverter, galvanised structure, cabling, protection devices, installation, commissioning and all net-metering and subsidy paperwork.

Per-kW cost falls as capacity rises because the inverter, structure and labour are shared across more panels. Prices move with module prices and GST, so treat these as 2026 planning figures and ask for a written quotation for your roof.

The solar panel price in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh is essentially the same — both states fall under the central PM Surya Ghar scheme, both have similar irradiance, and Sunvera's component sourcing and installation teams are shared across the two. The only practical difference is the DISCOM: MPMKVVCL or MPPKVVCL in Madhya Pradesh and CSPDCL in Chhattisgarh, whose application fees are small and fixed. A homeowner in Shivpuri and one in Bilaspur will receive the same quotation for the same roof.

What changes the price — and what doesn't

Two 3 kW quotations can differ by ₹20,000–30,000. These are the legitimate reasons:

  • Panel technology — TOPCon and bifacial modules cost 5–10 per cent more than mono-PERC but generate 3–8 per cent more over the year.
  • DCR vs non-DCR panels — the PM Surya Ghar subsidy requires DCR (domestically manufactured cell) modules, which carry a small premium. Non-DCR panels are cheaper but make the system ineligible for subsidy.
  • Structure height — an elevated structure that leaves the roof usable underneath adds ₹8,000–15,000 per kW over a standard low-rise structure.
  • Cable run — a meter room far from the roof, or a multi-storey building, adds cable and conduit.
  • Inverter type — hybrid inverters with battery support cost roughly twice a plain grid-tied inverter, and batteries are extra.

What should not change the price: "liaison charges" for net metering, "subsidy processing fees" or "portal registration charges". The PM Surya Ghar portal is free and the DISCOM application fee is a fixed small amount paid to the DISCOM. Sunvera Energy includes all paperwork in the system price.

PM Surya Ghar subsidy — how it changes your real cost

The PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana pays a central financial assistance directly into the homeowner's bank account after the system is commissioned and the net meter is installed.

SystemSubsidy calculationSubsidyInstalled priceYour net cost
1 kW₹30,000 × 1₹30,000₹78,000≈ ₹48,000
2 kW₹30,000 × 2₹60,000₹1,45,000≈ ₹85,000
3 kW₹60,000 + ₹18,000₹78,000₹2,00,000≈ ₹1,22,000
5 kWcapped₹78,000₹3,00,000≈ ₹2,22,000

Conditions: the applicant must be a residential consumer with a DISCOM connection in their name, the system must be on-grid with DCR panels, and the vendor must be registered on the portal — Sunvera Energy is. Housing societies can claim ₹18,000 per kW for common-area systems up to 500 kW. Commercial and industrial consumers are not eligible but can claim accelerated depreciation instead.

EMI, payback and 25-year savings

Take a Shivpuri or Bilaspur household paying ₹2,500 a month, about 300 units at the upper domestic slab. A 3 kW system generates roughly 360–400 units a month, so the bill falls to the fixed charges — a saving of about ₹2,300 a month or ₹27,600 a year.

  • Net cost after subsidy: ≈ ₹1,22,000.
  • Simple payback: ₹1,22,000 ÷ ₹27,600 ≈ 4.4 years. With tariff increases of 3–5 per cent a year it is closer to four.
  • EMI: a ₹1,22,000 loan over 7 years at about 9.5 per cent is roughly ₹2,000 a month — less than the bill it replaces, so the system is cash-positive from month one.
  • 25-year value: with 0.5 per cent annual panel degradation and modest tariff growth, lifetime savings on a 3 kW system land between ₹9 and ₹12 lakh.

Commercial customers on ₹8–11 per unit tariffs see faster returns: a 50 kW plant costing about ₹24 lakh offsets ₹5–6 lakh of electricity a year, a payback of roughly four years before depreciation benefits.

How to get an accurate price for your roof

Send Sunvera Energy your last three electricity bills and a photo of the roof on WhatsApp, and you will get a preliminary size and price the same day. A free site survey then confirms the roof area, shading, structure and cable run, and the final written quotation lists every component by brand, the subsidy amount, the finance option and the expected monthly generation for your district. Prices on this page are indicative for 2026 and are confirmed in that quotation.
