Solar Company in Chhattisgarh — Sunvera Energy

Sunvera Energy is a PM Surya Ghar registered solar company in Chhattisgarh, working from its office at Nutan Chowk, Seepat Road, Bilaspur and serving ten districts from Korba and Koriya in the north to Kondagaon in Bastar. A 3 kW home system costs about ₹2,00,000 before the ₹78,000 central subsidy, commercial plants run ₹45,000–60,000 per kW, and every installation is connected through CSPDCL net metering, which Sunvera files and follows up from Bilaspur.

Why Chhattisgarh is a strong state for rooftop solar

Chhattisgarh generates more electricity than it uses — Korba alone hosts NTPC, CSPGCL and BALCO plants — yet domestic consumers still pay rising slab tariffs, and commercial and industrial users pay ₹7–10 a unit. That gap is what rooftop solar closes. The state receives 5–5.5 kWh per square metre per day of solar radiation, which translates to 1,450–1,550 units a year from each kW of a well-installed rooftop system in Bilaspur, Korba or Raipur. Under the Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission (CSERC) net-metering regulations, consumers may install rooftop systems up to their sanctioned load, and the PM Surya Ghar scheme pays up to ₹78,000 to households through CREDA, the state nodal agency.

For a Bilaspur family with a ₹2,500 bill, a 3 kW system at a net cost of about ₹1,22,000 pays back in roughly four and a half years and then produces near-free electricity for twenty more.

CSPDCL net metering — how it works in Chhattisgarh

Unlike Madhya Pradesh, which has three distribution companies, Chhattisgarh has one: the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL). Every rooftop system in the state is net-metered through its circle and division offices.

  1. Apply on the PM Surya Ghar national portal with your CSPDCL consumer number, a recent bill and Aadhaar. Sunvera registers the application under its vendor ID.
  2. Feasibility — the CSPDCL division checks the sanctioned load and transformer capacity, normally within 15 days.
  3. Installation by Sunvera Energy, usually one to two days for a home, and upload of the commissioning report.
  4. Inspection and meter — CSPDCL inspects and installs the bi-directional meter.
  5. Subsidy — credited by the central government to the consumer's bank account after the meter is live.

Exported units are set off against imported units on the monthly bill. For commercial and industrial consumers the application includes a single-line diagram and load details, which Sunvera prepares; the 75 kW Bilaspur warehouse plant went through exactly this route.

Solar for Chhattisgarh's three biggest markets

Rice mills

Chhattisgarh is the rice bowl of India, and the Bilaspur–Mungeli road, Bhatapara and Janjgir-Champa carry hundreds of mills. Paddy drying, de-husking and polishing run in daylight through the sunniest months after harvest, so a 50–200 kW captive plant is consumed on site and typically pays back in three to four years with accelerated depreciation on top.

Cement belt and industry

Baloda Bazar's Rawan–Hirmi–Simga cement corridor and Bilaspur's Sirgitti industrial area support transporters, fabricators and warehouses with large sheet roofs — ideal for non-penetrative rooftop mounting at 50–500 kW.

Homes in power towns

Korba's Balco Nagar and Niharika, Chirmiri's SECL colonies and Bilaspur's Vyapar Vihar and Mangla have rows of pucca RCC roofs and reliable grid access — the easiest PM Surya Ghar installs in the state, at 2–5 kW each.

Choosing a solar company in Chhattisgarh

Rooftop solar lasts 25 years, so the installer matters more than the panel brand. Insist on four things: PM Surya Ghar vendor registration (Sunvera Energy is registered, and also works with its partner Anshul Vanguard India Pvt Ltd); component brands named in the quotation; a physical office in the state you can walk into — ours is on Seepat Road, Bilaspur; and the CSPDCL net-metering process handled by the installer, included in the price. Sunvera Energy also offers a franchise and dealership model for entrepreneurs in Chhattisgarh districts not yet covered — see the solar franchise page. What happens after you call

The process is the same whether you are in Bilaspur, Korba or Kondagaon. Share your last three electricity bills on WhatsApp and you get a preliminary system size and price the same day. An engineer from the Bilaspur office then visits — free — to measure the roof, check shading and the meter position, and confirm your CSPDCL sanctioned load. Within two or three days you receive a written proposal naming every component, the subsidy amount, finance options and the expected monthly generation for your district. Installation follows the CSPDCL feasibility approval and takes one to two days for a home, a week or two for a mill or warehouse; the bi-directional meter and the subsidy credit complete the job, usually inside six to eight weeks from the first call.
